“My youngest brother is autistic. He is often in his own world, showing more interest in objects rather than relationships with people. In 2006 I began exposing him to the horses that lived just across the fence from our back yard. I realized that this special connection with horses might help his social development. I discovered a therapeutic horseback riding facility (hippo therapy) that works with disabled children and adults. I began to volunteer... this effort has not only helped my brother, but has also shaped my vision for my future, personally and vocationally.”
