JOHN HERSEY HIGH
“Striding down the pavement backpack slung over a shoulder, I rush to the bus stop with about half a minute to catch the bus, and my breath as well. And I like it. Maybe I’m a dreamer. Maybe I’m naive. But I feel every kid should be able to have the opportunity to have their childhood, and attend school. I so want to be a grade school teacher. As much as I want a scholarship, I know what the same amount can do for a kid in a third world country who needs to start an education.”
